But the pain I was in had become unbearable, and being 4 months postpartum after a difficult pregnancy, I was willing to try anything to feel better. I found Dr Scriven on a google search. I am a trained acupuncturist and takes care of my body so I don’t normally experience any disabling pain. One day I was changing my clothes and through an unplanned tweak of my lower back, I felt one of my lumbar bones slip out of alignment. Instantly, I lost use of my spine and voluntary movement throughout my body. I couldn’t stand up or walk without a crutch. I needed someone to put that bone back into alignment. Luckily when google sent me to Dr Scriven’s website, I was able to book a same day appointment. When I went for my appointment, my husband had to help me get dressed and put my socks on. Once at his office, Dr Scriven greeted me and started assessing my physical condition. He looked worried for me as I was in a lot of pain. Once in his treatment room, he went through my health history and ask me questions. He explained what his plan was to treat my condition. Once I laid done, he explained step by step how the treatment was going to proceed. He was gentle throughout the whole process. He started with running currents through the area of my pain, followed by decompression, and then some tool that felt like a gentle hammering over the pain area. All the procedures felt good and I felt a gurgling feeling in my lumbar bones. He also applied medicated ointment and gently massage. I had a great treatment experience. After I left Dr Scriven’s office, I was still in lots of pain but one thing I noticed immediately was that the misalignment in my lumbar spine had eased. Every couple of hours after the appointment something opened up in my lower back. The first 2 hours after treatment, I put aside the crutch I was using to help me stand and walk. A couple more hours the area opened up some more. By the next day, I was able to take a walk with my husband around our neighborhood. I highly recommend Dr Scriven’s gentle attentive approach.
