What To Expect:
Shockwave sessions will typically last 15 minutes, with the actual treatment time averaging about 5 minutes. We will apply an acoustic gel over the area of complaint, which will help transfer the energy of the sound waves into the damaged tissues. During the treatment, patients may experience mild discomfort as the shockwaves break up scar tissue and restart the healing process. It is completely normal to feel a slight “soreness” in the area depending on your initial pain level, but many patients report immediate pain relief and increased functionality after the first treatment.
We typically recommend a series of 3 to 6 Shockwave Therapy sessions, spaced 7 days apart, depending on the severity of your condition. There are no long-term commitments required to begin treatment, and we are always available to answer any questions you may have about the process. We believe Shockwave Therapy is a game-changing tool that can benefit everyone, from high-level athletes to those with sedentary jobs, helping them achieve their goals and live pain-free. Having experienced its benefits firsthand, we consider it one of the most effective methods available for maintaining overall health and providing top-quality care to our patients.
